AVAILABLE NOW! While loading on a Mark 7 Evolution or Revolution, you now have the ability to stop the machine if you have a primer that is missing or have other issues inserting a primer. Have you had the situation where you are loading at a pretty good pace only to find out that your supply contains nonconforming or missing primers? This can create havoc on your supply and loading operation – and in general is a headache. Well, we have a solution!

This sensor is only available for the Evolution and Revolution class of machines that have priming systems in them (not brass processors). Regardless if you’re set up in Stacked Priming or with the Onboard Primer Collator, this sensor slides right into the cut-out near your primer punch.

There are two specific functions of this sensor:

• Can stop your Evolution or Revolution in the event of a missing, upside down, cocked, or a primer that is too proud
• Can stop your machine if you have a jam and the machine does not index properly

Both of these functions enable an alert on your tablet screen that the sensor has been activated.

How does it work? You set the level of the primer probe at the side of the sensor so that the indication level is custom to your needs. Cartridges slide across the probe, and if they meet the level that you set, the machine will continue to operate, and if not the machine can stop. The indexing sensor component of this unit works independently and senses the shell plate rotation. The programming on the machine is designed to alert the user when the machine has made a stroke, but the shell plate has not indexed or rotated. This sensor helps increase the utility of your machines by streamlining the overall loading process.

The PrimerSense Low Primer sensor takes the guess work out of your loading operation by alerting you when you are low on primers mechanically. The Mark 7 unit already has a programmable stop due to low primers that you enable from the included tablet. Install this mechanical unit and you are double protected from running out of primers and spilling powder all over your shell plate.

This unit installs in moments with the included hardware and rides underneath Dillon’s audible primer sensor. When that unit goes off, PrimerSense will also be enabled and it stops the machine at the end of the stroke. You will then see a note on the tablet to refill your primer tube. Sometimes you decap and sometimes you don’t (decapping is the process in Station #2 that pushes out the old primer). What happens when your decapping pin is broken and you don’t realize it? How about that stubborn spent primer that hangs onto the pin and isn’t fully discarded only to be pushed back in by the swage station? oops.

This is a must-have accessory for the Mark 7 1050 Autodrive. The positive decap sensor uses optical recognition to determine if a spent primer is removed and if no spent primer falls the machine stops after the stroke making easy to remove the impacted case. Save yourself and save your machine. If you are processing or loading new brass, simply disable the sensor from the Mark 7 tablet interface. ALSO acts as a brass sensor – when enabled can stop the press when brass is not present in the decapping station.

If there is an obstruction that prevents the swage rod to enter the primer pocket by either a partially ejected primer often called a “ringer” or a small primer pocket in mixed 45 ACP brass a jam or worse may occur. SWAGESense uses Mark 7 proprietary technology to not only perform a swage operation, but also can detect a ringer and small pocket primers.
